ECW Cook book of 1960

This is the “classic” ECW cook book. The Cook book is undated. However, the forward lists 530 communicants close to the 532 reported in the 1960 Diocese Journal of Annual Council. So we can assume 1960. It was reissued in 1994.

It is useful on several levels – those who contributed and their lives, review of the changing styles of food (how many of these recipes are useful today?) and the mix of recipes covered. In between the recipes groupings are “Did you know” segments. Example, “Did you know? You can add a can of your favorite cream soup instead of milk to your creamed or mashed potatoes.” Thanks to Mary Jane O’Neill who bought this at an auction
